We watched the fireworks on the 4th along Wallowa Lake surrounded by mountains. It was a cool evening and a long wait. The kids were pretty good considering, but were loud I'm sure for all the surrounding people. We didn't think we could have sparklers or any of our own fireworks due to fire danger so we didn't bring anything. Some older people next to us asked if we wanted some sparklers for the kids and I respectfully thanked them and reassured them they were okay. They kept insisting that we have them so we ended up taking them. I think they just wanted us to have them in hopes to keep the kids a little more quiet! It worked for about 2 minutes!
