I have such a great in home Daycare provider...Keli! She signed all the kids up for swim lessons at the new Rexburg Rapids swim complex this summer. She had parents help drive and I went on the days I wasn't working. What crazy women take 6 kids plus her own 2 kids to swim lessons....only Keli! Love her!
Portia has had swim lessons in La Grande before, but it had been awhile. She did great. She went from plugging her nose everytime she wanted to put her head in the water to no nose being plugged. She can float on her back and do the breast stroke across the pool by herself. She was pretty excited and like the lessons. She made a new friend at swim lessons so that was fun to.
Ryver is pretty cautious when it comes to new things. He loves the water once he gets warmed up to it, which usually takes all day of swimming. These swim lessons were excellent for him. He was in one of the basic classes. He was timid the first week, but more comfortable with his teacher and the water the second week. He learned how to blow bubbles and stick his face in the water. He can float on his back with help. and getting better and going all the way under water. The first time they held onto the wall and kicked he didn't want to splash anybody but as time went on this was his favorite drill. It was a great 2 weeks of lessons.
