Dog Treats

For some reason Ryver has been into eating like this. He had a bowl of popcorn and I came around the corner to find him head first into the bowl. This hasn't been the first time either. I guess as long as it's not his cereal.

Drive In-Toy Story 3

We went to the drive-in one Saturday night. We took our truck, chairs, and snacks. The movie was "Toy Story 3". We had to borrow the first 2 movies and watch them for my sake and Ryver's. There is just something so fun about being outside in the brisk and watching a movie...I loved it. We ended up freezing to death. Ryver didn't make it 20 minutes. I am proud to say I stayed awake through the whole movie, this is quite the accomplishment.We left after the first show. It was a fun family thing to do.

Ryver is 3 Years Old!

3 things we know and love about RYVER!

1. He loves to be independent and do things himself, especially make his own PB and honey sandwich.

2. He has a short fuse (temper)-He for sure gets this from his DAD!

3. He puts himself to bed and down for a nap often. He tells me he's tired, goes in his room, shuts the door, and goes to bed.

Wow I really can't believe it's been 3 whole years since Ryver has entered our family. He has grown up so much this past year. He is such a fun loving kid.
He has made a huge amount of progress going to speech therapy, and will now talk to other people-if he is in the mood. He loves to help Mom cook in the kitchen. He finally conquered standing up to go potty. He still likes to stay as clean as possible. His favorite song is "The Wheels On the Bus Go Round and Round" and "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam". Favorite book is "Smash Crash". He is still afraid of dogs and horses. The list could go on and on. We love him so much, and are so thankful that he chose to come to our family. Love ya little buddy!

As you can see in the pictures below Ryver was quite excited about his gifts. Grandma and Grandpa gave him a little tractor farm set. We gave him his bike and Grandma and Grandpa Hayden gave him his helmet. Sad to say he was more excited about his farm set at the time.






Ryver wanted a COW cake for his birthday, and this is what he got. Why do cakes always look so much better in the picture than when I try and do them? Sorry Ryver, this is what your cow looks like!

Lunch Date!

One of the high lights of Portia's summer is getting to spend time with cousins. Here is one of the times with a simple picnic in the back yard.

Lava Hot Springs

Bailey, Kate, Levi, Portia

We can't let a summer go by without a trip to Lava with the family. Misty was down from Montana, so Dawn and I packed up and made a day of it. Perfect weather, warm with no wind.





Ryver couldn't decide which was better, eating snacks or swimming.

This is the big over the road yellow slide. She did this one time and that was the only time.

This yellow slide is also called the wedgie slide. I'm pretty sure that is what she is doing in this picture.


From start to finish of the "Baby Slide". That is what Ryver called it. He's not tall enough to go on the bigger slides so he settled for famous baby slide. He had it down cold by the end of the day. Thanks Gma for taking turns with Mom!

Guitar Hero!

These pictures don't do justice to how cute this guitar session was. Logan is such a rock star in more than one way. Ryver loves "Lo Lo". Whatever Logan did with the guitar Ryver followed suit. Thanks Logan for being such a good sport and letting all the grand kids follow you around like puppy dogs.

Bancroft Splash!

We were at Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Gordon's house in Bancroft and the kids played on the tramp with their counsins Levi and Kate. They were here from Montana. How great it is that kids can be entertained with a hose and sprinkler. Love it!
