Growing UP

It was time this summer to teach Ryver the art of riding on just 2 wheels vs 4 wheels.  Scott was gone to Oregon already so the burden lay on my shoulders.  We went outside I took the training wheels off, and within 5 minutes Ryver was riding down the sidewalk on his own.  It was awesome, except when he ran into Sophie's car pretty hard core.  It was so hard I was afraid to look at the damage, but luckily no dents.  By the end of the day he was standing up and riding as fast as he could.  We took pictures and video and sent them to Dad.  I think this made Scott slightly homesick.  We love Dad and miss him.

This is what Myka did while Ryver practices his mad 2 wheel bike skills.

T-Ball

Ryver played T-ball this year instead of soccer. How awesome it was. The season was half as long, I understood the game, and Ryver had fun. He had  great coaches and fun kids to play with. Ryver has grown up and a lot less shy, timid, and is way more outgoing than last year. There still was something about second base.  No matter what team, or kid was on 2nd base they all played in the dirt.  It was quite comical.  The parents called it the cursed 2nd Base.  Luckily the team had a big enough helmet for Ryver and his big head.  It was a struggle to get on and it for sure wasn't coming off on his own.

I love these last two pictures.  She would try and tell him how to play.  Notice her hand in the last picture, telling him how it is!

Ryver and Myka

I guess the title should be Myka and one picture of Ryver.  Whenever I get the camera out, Ryver has to be right there with Myka. I tried to capture Myka getting up on her hands and knees but once the camera came out she refused to show off. Myka's blue eyes just mesmerize me.  I love them.  She is so pretty to me.  I love the string of drool that is almost a continual thing.  In order to vacuum the house I put her in her highchair with toys to keep her occupied.  She loves the cause and effect of hitting her toys on things and making LOUD noises.  She has only fallen asleep once in her highchair while vacuuming the house.  I didn't dare stop vacuuming for fear she would wake up. Love you baby girl.

THUMB?

Is Myka really sucking her thumb?  She actually did a couple of times this particular day.  I was torn. Part of me wanted her to suck her thumb.  I thought she might be more content, we wouldn't always be looking for a pacifier.  The other part was horrified thinking of having to break the habit in another kid.  Luckily it was just a fluke and she continues to use her paci.

Twin Falls=Girl's Trip

Twin Falls, was the destination for the famous 2012 Yost Girl's Trip.  We shopped, ate, laughed, slept, and repeated it for two whole days.  We started out by meeting at Shari's for brunch in Twin.  From there the shopping started.  We shopped allll day.  I think we got to the hotel around either 9 or 10 pm.  I can't quite remember.  I think every year our day goes later and later.  It is so much fun to spend the day with my bestest friends, this includes my awesome MOM!  I am not quite sure what people think of piling 5 grown women, a baby, and an arm full of clothes into one dressing room.  Crazy, fun, outrageous, shocking, pee your pants laughter, "W" is for wonderful, wow, women. These are just a few words and thoughts that come mind. O the fun times we had.

This year we had Myka, in tow.  She did well considering being in the stroller or car seat forever!  She did have her fussy times and tried to show me who the boss was but, all we had to do was start singing Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer and she calmed right down.  So, yes I walked up and down the mall singing this multiple times.  Whatever it takes though right.

Say Cheese Misty!  Don't look so excited.

Finally she feel asleep.  Although she doesn't look very comfortable.
Waiting for somebody to model I am sure.
There our model Dawn is...go girl!

Myka had to try on something!
Unloading all the loot!  We had to go drop off so we could go again!

It doesn't matter how full you are and how FAT you feel there is always room for treats!
Wow....I texts this to Scott.  UGLY!!!

Dinner was good, I didn't want to waste any of it.

The Kiddo's

Yep, I know they shouldn't be on the table but I am so not perfect.  Anyway I love the bond that Myka and Ryver have for each other.  I don't really have much to say besides....I LOVE THEM TO PIECES!  I also had to take a picture of the wonderful DORA shirt.  I hate DORA.  Dawn watched Myka one time for me and this is what she put on Myka for a joke.  Aunt Dawn thinks she is sooo funny!

Here is Ryver trying to make Myka look a little bit "awesomer".  That is a word of Ryver's.  I do have to admit she is pretty dang awesome!  Take a note how wet her shirt is.  Myka is our slobber puss.

Just Stuff

I just had to post this picture as proof that Ryver is slowly but surely getting over his fear of dogs.  Of course he does a lot better with the smaller dogs then the big ones but non the less, he is getting better. Go Ryver, Go!!!

Portia

We went and spent Memorial Day Weekend in La Grande to spend time with Portia and celebrate her birthday (EARLY).  It was great because she also had her end of year dance recital.  She did great and it was fun to see her do something she loves.  Portia turned 10 this year.  She is so grown up yet so young.  Hard to believe she is 10.  She wanted chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate ice cream.  I think it is safe to say she loves chocolate.  She asked for a Figit for her birthday.  REALLY?  Whatever makes a kid happy on her birthday right.  Happy Birthday PORTIA!

Upside Downer

Leave it to Dad to do tricks with the poor helpless baby. Actually Myka loved it. She was smiling and giggling the whole time.  (Don't mind the mess in the background.)
