Portia turned 8 clear back in June but because of where her records were and the timing of Summer and a few other random things, she waited until September. She was baptised in La Grande Oregon on September 4th 2010. Almost all of her Hayden cousins were there. She is one of the luckiest girls ever. She has so many grandparents on all sides that were able to attend. The baptism and confirmation were on the same day, Saturday morning at 10 AM. Grandma Kathy gave a talk on baptism and Grandpa Scott talked about the Holy Ghost. Portia's Mom, Audria and Grandma Cindy sang "I Am A Child of God". Uncle Jessie and Aunt Stacie gave the opening and closing prayers. Portia had a lot of support from the ward. Her primary teacher gave her a pink blanket that they use during primary class to keep warm.
We are so thankful that Scott and Kathy take Portia to church with them and helped her to get prepared to be baptised. They are doing in La Grande what we wish we could do here in Idaho. So thankful she has wonderful Grandparents that are showing her how to grow up in the gospel when she is away from us. Thank you Scott and Kathy.
We are so proud of Portia for her decision to be baptised and receive the Holy Ghost. It's hard to believe is as old as she is. She is beautiful girl, who is so sweet and nice to everyone she meets. Thanks Portia for being the best daughter ever.

That's so exciting! Congratulations to her! She is such a pretty girl. We were just talking about Portia today cuz Piper finally fits into one of te cute, fancy dresses you gave us when Portia outgrew it. Just in time for Cristmas.
