First Trip to the ER

I'm sure there will be more stitches along the way, but this happened to be Ryver's first. It was bed time and Dad was on his way to put him down. Ryver was running away from him and Scott was chasing him. Ryver has a bad habit of looking behind him while he is running. This time he ran SMACK into the corner of the wall. He hit so hard that he literally bounced off and hit the other side of the hall. Right before he hit, I heard Scott say "Ryver watch out". Then Ryver started crying and Scott scooped him up and ran to the kitchen. I asked how bad and Scott said bad, you better get a towel. Yea it was pretty good. Of course head wounds bleed a lot so once we got the bleeding stopped, we really saw the damage. I've seen enough lacerations in the ER to know when they need stitches and when they don't. We headed to Rexburg to the ER. He did so good he just sat on my lap and slept through almost all of it. He even slept through the majority of the shots to numb his head up. We did have to bundle him up and hold him down for the actual stitching up but all in all he did great. He now has a scar like his Aunt Stacie.

  1. Reminds me of someone playing in a basketball game that had a head wound and had to leave the game. ;)
